Bone Marrow Transplants: A Book of Basics for
Patients was the first handbook written by Susan K. Stewart to help
patients understand what's involved in undergoing a bone marrow or peripheral
blood stem cell transplant. Called the "Bible" by many patients, this book has
been replaced by our newest book Bone Marrow and Blood Stem Cell
Transplants: A Guide for Patients. The new book includes all the helpful
information contained in the Book of Basics, as well as new chapters on
finding and being a donor, choosing a transplant center, pain control,
nutrition after transplant and more.
