“I am a 34-year-old survivor of a BMT for aplastic anemia. My wife and I want to have children, but are unable to conceive due to the total body irradiation I received prior to transplant. I’d like to hear from anyone who has had children post-transplant.” DF,IL

“I would like to hear from anyone who developed MDS following a BMT for Stage IV Breast Cancer.” RS,NY

“I’d like to hear from someone around my age (41) who’s had a BMT for CML, and would be interested in sharing information with me.” PW

“I’m 30 years old and recently lost my first pregnancy when my Stage I breast cancer metastasized to my hip bone. I will have a BMT this spring or summer. I desperately hold on to the hope that I may have a family in the future. I am interested in hearing from others in my age group, or anyone with similar experiences, who can offer some help or insights.” JT, VA

“My son is 19 years old and had leukemia. He relapsed in the testicle, was treated successfully with chemo and radiation but then relapsed in the bone marrow. The BMT was postponed, but is now being considered. I’d like to hear from anyone else who has experience with a similar situation.” KM, NY

“My 21-year-old son has undergone chemotherapy, two rounds of radiation and an ABMT for Hodgkin’s disease. He relapsed a year after transplant and his doctor recommended an allogeneic BMT, using his sister’s bone marrow. He is refusing any more treatment, and it would really help me to hear from other parents who have been in a similar situation.” RG, NY

“I would like to talk to someone who has considered or had a BMT or PBSCT for peritoneal cancer.” JH, MI

“My son had a BMT four years ago and is doing well except for some new issues. His heart muscle has been damaged and his liver enzyme levels are higher than they were immediately after transplant. If others have experienced these problems, please contact me.” SM, MA

“I have Hodgkin’s disease and large cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I had a PBSCT in 1995, and have had a relapse of Hodgkin’s. I am now undergoing chemotherapy, which doesn’t seem to be working. If anyone else has terminal cancer with any mixed cell conditions (it doesn’t have to be lymphoma), I’d love to hear from you.” KC, NJ

“I would like to hear from anyone who has had a PBSCT or ABMT for Stage IV Hodgkin’s disease in first remission. I’d also like to hear from anyone who has persistent breathing problems post-transplant.” NC, ME
