The Patient Advocate Foundation will host a legal symposium entitled Current ERISA Law Issues and Case Preparation April 24-25, 1998 at Loyola University School of Law, Chicago IL. Keynote speaker will be Mark Hiepler Esq. In 1993, Hiepler won a record $89 million verdict against Health Net in California, for failing to cover high-dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant for his sister who had breast cancer. Ordinary Women on Extraordinary Journeys: Discovering the Experiences of Midlife Women Living through Chronic Illness, is the title of a study initiated by Debbie Kralik RN, MN, MRCNA of Flinders University of South Australia.
