Thank you.) My wife underwent high-dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant for metastatic breast cancer in December. Afterward, she still had a couple of very small (but visible) tumors just under the incision line where she had a mastectomy. The number and size of the tumors has increased significantly. We are very worried. She will start herceptin in two weeks. We would like to hear from others with a similar experience. P.H. My husband will have a transplant for myelofibrosis this year, and wed like to hear from others who had this disease and had a successful bone marrow or stem cell transplant. M.B. Thank you for all the wonderful information on bone marrow transplantation. You can imagine the shock, fear and sadness we felt when my 45-year-old brother was diagnosed in January with CLL. It seemed especially tough for me, the nurse sister. How fortunate we are that your organization exists to help all of us through this difficult time. A.M. My three-year-old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia with the Philadelphia chromosome. Our family would like to compare notes with other families in a similar situation. J.M. |
