“I had a BMT 2 years ago. While coming off prednisone, I had fluid build-up in my lungs. I’d like to hear from others who have had this experience.” P.C.

“I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in 1985 and had an autologous BMT after my third recurrence. Not only am I going into my seventh year of remission, but I now have three beautiful children—a five-year-old girl, a four-year-old boy and a four-month-old girl. I would like to offer encouragement to those who think there is no hope of conceiving a child post-BMT. I am a living example that miracles do happen!” K.B.

“I am 11 years post-transplant and have spinal stenosis. I’d like to talk with others experiencing this side effect after transplant.” K.R.

“Our young son had a BMT in July 1996 for ALL. In January of this year, we learned he had renal cell carcinoma. We’d like to hear from anyone who is or has been in a similar situation.” J.A.

“My sister, age 47, has been diagnosed with agnogenic myeloid metaplasia (AMM/myelofibrosis). She will eventually have to have a bone marrow transplant. I would like to hear from anyone who has this disease and has or will be undergoing a BMT. B.
