Leukemia Research Foundation Sponsors www.bmtinfonet.org

BMT InfoNet is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Leukemia Research Foundation. A generous grant from the Leukemia Research Foundation this Spring will enable BMT InfoNet to enhance and maintain its popular website www.bmtinfonet.org in 2001. The website hosts 30,000 visitors each month.

“We believe in the power of partnership with strong organizations whose missions complement ours,” says Janie Weisenberg, Executive Director of the Leukemia Research Foundation. “Our mission is to conquer leukemia, lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndromes by funding research into their causes and cures, and to enrich the quality of life of those touched by these diseases. One way we accomplish our mission is through education, because we believe that knowledge provides comfort.”

The Leukemia Research Foundation will fund nearly $2,000,000 in research this year to find a cure for these devastating diseases. Additionally, they provide emotional support through counseling for families facing a leukemia, lymphoma, or myelodysplastic syndrome diagnosis, financial assistance for families living in Illinois or within 100 miles of Chicago, and offer educational resources both through their own website, www.leukemia-research.org as well as sponsorship of www.bmtinfonet.org.
