CHORI Sibling Donor Cord Blood Program

Children’s Hospital of Oakland Research Institute (CHORI) has received federal funding to facilitate the collection, testing, transportation and storage of cord blood for eligible families throughout the U.S.

A family is eligible if:
  • it has a child with a transplant-treatable condition, and is expecting another child (the affected child must have the same biological parents as the fetus) or
  • the fetus is known (from pre-natal diagnosis) to be affected with a transplant-treatable condition or
  • the fetus is know to be at increased risk for a transplant-treatable condition CHORI services are free for eligible families. For more information phone 510-450-7605 or email cordblood@chori.org.
