“My wife had an autologous stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma in May, 2000. Her bone marrow biopsy shows no residual myeloma cells, but engraftment is happening very slowly if at all. We’d like to hear from others who have experienced similar difficulties.” C.A., Calabrams@hotmail.com

“I’d like to hear from anyone who had a mini (non-myeloablative) transplant for Hodgkin’s disease.” M., Matt@CureHodgkins.com

“I am 8 years post-transplant for ALL and would like to talk with someone who’s experienced one or more of the following problems after BMT: neuropathy, fatty liver condition, or chronic fatigue.” B.D., Dunne@aol.com or Bart@trellis.net

“My son had a BMT for ALL in June, 1994. He developed autoimmune hemolytic anemia 6 months after transplant and it is still not under control. He now needs a kidney transplant. I’m interested in communicating with anyone who has dealt with either autoimmune hemolytic anemia or kidney failure.” L.R.

“I had an autologous transplant for ALL 3 years ago, and continue to deal with heel, foot, and leg discomfort. I would love to correspond with anyone who has experienced similar problems.” D., Ihhaq@aol.com

“I had GVHD following my BMT and now have dry eye syndrome. I would like to hear from others about the treatments they had for this condition.” T.B., 4785@home.com

“It’s been 6 years since my 2nd transplant, and I just turned 35. I feel great, look great, and love my career and life, but am having a hard time meeting single men in their 30s. I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.” J.L., lernsky@aol.com

“Our daughter is 52 days post-transplant and continues to have nausea and vomiting. Her doctors think these may be withdrawal symptoms from her fentanyl drip. I’d like to talk with others who’ve had a similar experience.” W.H., walthobbs@aol.com

“When my husband was hospitalized for his BMT, our church gave us a ‘prayer pager’, and printed up little cards with Dane’s name and the pager phone number on them. Each time someone says a prayer for Dane, they call the pager number and it buzzes to let us know someone is praying for Dane. The pager has been buzzing every 15 or 20 minutes, around the clock, for the last three weeks. I can’t tell you what a wonderful source of comfort this has been.” E.W.
