Celebrating Life Calendar 2004 -
An Inspirational Gift

"Life is short-eat dessert first" is a motto that 65-year-old Jim Horan lives by. A retired veterinarian and avid skydiver, Jim is one of thirteen transplant survivors featured in BMT InfoNet's 2004 Celebrating Life calendar.

"The photos in this year's calendar are spectacular," says Lynne Spina, calendar project coordinator. "In addition to Jim skydiving, we have photos of an elephant trainer, a skier, a little boy fishing, a grandmother playing with her grandchildren and lots more-each celebrating life in their own special way since their transplant."

A beautiful series of art quilts created by transplant survivor Victoria Bartling are also showcased in the wall calendar. Each quilt represents an important milestone in Bartling's transplant experience that will resonate with transplant survivors.

The Celebrating Life Calendar, which will be available November 1, 2003, is $12 and can be ordered by phoning 888-597-7674 or online. Proceeds from the calendar sales will help support the work of BMT InfoNet.

Creation of the calendar was made possible by the generosity of the following calendar sponsors:

American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation
Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches

Cancer Centers of the Carolinas
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
