"Here's something I'd like to share. I had a BMT in 1996. My brother was my donor. My kids' dad enrolled in the National Marrow Donor Program just to be able to do something. Last week he got the call that he was a match for some one! I believe God just winked." K.S.

"My husband has developed myelodysplasia following his transplant for AML in 1995. He has also developed adult onset Stills disease. We'd like to talk with others who had a similar experience." S.M.

"My daughter died from GVHD in November 2001 after having an allogeneic BMT in July 1998. Her sister was the donor. Has anyone else suffered a similar loss after a sibling was the donor?" D.T.

"Due to GVHD, the skin on my hands is very dry, sometimes cracks and practically turns white in the fall and winter. I've tried everything my oncologist recommended but to no avail. I would like to hear from others who had a similar problem to learn what worked for them." J.K.

"An update: A little over 10 years ago, our then 8-year-old daughter was diagnosed with AML. She was a high risk case. We obtained your newsletter and it was one of our key sources of information. She was transplanted in 1994. Well, 10 years later our daughter is entering her senior year in high school and is filing applications to several nursing schools. Your newsletter, book and advice gave us the courage to make an informed choice about BMTs when our doctor recommended against one. Thank you and may God bless you." M.R.

"I had a mini-transplant for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in June of 2001. Since last October, I have had GVHD affecting my skin, eyes and mouth. I would like to talk others in a similar situation." P.F.

"I have non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and a condition called bronchiectasis. I would like to speak to others who were transplanted with this pre-existing condition." R.M.

"I had an autologous transplant for multiple myeloma in June. I have a strange (new to me) weakness, particularly in my legs that does not seem to concern the doctors. I'd like to talk with others who have had this procedure to compare notes about recovery." M.D.
