Is One of These Therapies Right for You? Who Can Benefit and When?

A free conference designed to provide information about available treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, other blood-related disorders and pediatric diseases will take place March 19, 2005, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. Presenters from the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), Chicago area transplant centers, and patient support groups, including BMT InfoNet, will address key questions about bone marrow, blood stem cell and cord blood transplantation.

Among the topics to be addressed are:

  • When to select transplant versus conventional chemotherapy
  • What is the NMDP?
  • Services available from patient support groups, including
    BMT InfoNet
  • Coping with insurance issues
  • How to choose a transplant center
