Novel Treatment for GVHD

Graft vs. Host Disease (GVHD) is a potentially life threatening immune condition that can affect patients who have received a bone marrow transplant.

Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. is currently enrolling patients in a Phase II clinical trial designed to test the efficacy of adult stem cells in treating GVHD. The cellular component of the drug is derived from the bone marrow of healthy adult donors. Data from previously treated GVHD patients and non-clinical evidence suggest that this novel therapy will address both the immune response of donor cells as well as tissue damage resulting from inflammation, radiation and/or chemotherapy.

For more information about the Osiris GVHD clinical trial, please visit our website at www.osiristx.com or contact us via e-mail at Prochymal@osiristx.com.
