Possible Uses:
Prevent or treat bacterial infections.
Drug Interactions:
May decrease the effectiveness of oral contraceptives and may increase the effects of anticoagulants such as warfarin or Coumadin®.
Possible Side Effects:
Diarrhea, rash, nausea, vomiting. If patient has a penicillin allergy, may cause rash, swelling, breathing difficulties. May also cause a superinfection such as vaginal fungal infection. Last updated on 02/01/2010
