Prevent or treat bacterial infection.

Special Notes: 
Take on an empty stomach, 2 hours after meals. Avoid taking any calcium, magnesium, or iron products within two hours of taking this medication. Take entire prescription even if feeling better. Maintain adequate hydration ask your healthcare provider to how much you should take in. Increased sensitivity to sunlight may occur, use sunblock or other protective means while out. Avoid direct sun exposure, Report immediately any signs of skin rash, joint or back pain, or difficulty breathing.

Drug Interactions: 
Avoid calcium supplements, antacids, and dairy products one hour before or two hours after taking.

Possible Side Effects: 
Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sensitivity to sunlight, headache, dizziness, change in liver or kidney function (generally temporary). Rarely, may cause seizures. If patient is allergic, may cause breathing difficulties, swelling of face, throat or lips, or rash.
